BLACK FOREST REUBEN SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices of Pumpernickel Bread
  • Sliced Swiss Cheese
  • Sliced corned beef
  • Sliced Black Forest ham
  • Drained Red Cabbage OR Sauerkraut
  • 3 tablespoons of dill pickle relish
  • 1 finely chopped shallot
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped capers
  • 4 tablespoons of Tacoma Boys spicy brown mustard

Directions

  • Prepare The Bread

    Spread one side of 2 slices of pumpernickel bread with softened organic butter. (2 slices for each person) You will be building these sandwiches with the buttery sides facing out.
  • Prepare The Sauce

    In a separate bowl, mix: 3 tablespoons of dill pickle relish 1 finely chopped shallot 1 tablespoon of chopped capers 4 tablespoons of Tacoma Boys spicy brown mustard
  • Put It All Together

    Add the mixture on 1 slice of bread, top it with a slice of Swiss cheese, a slice of corned beef and Black Forest ham, a small bit of drained red cabbage OR sauerkraut, and the other slice of bread.
  • Heat It up!

    Heat over a nonstick skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side.
  • Compliment Your Rueben Sandwich

    We love thinly sliced carrots and zucchini, boiled with a little butter and salt.
