Orange Citrus Loaf with Homemade Glaze

- 3 eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup full-fat yogurt
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 heirloom orange, zested
- ½ heirloom orange, juiced
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter, melted and cooled
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- ½ lemon, juiced
- ½ heirloom orange, juiced
Directions
Get prepped.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and generously grease a loaf pan.Mix the wet ingredients.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, orange juice, vanilla, and sugar. Once combined, slowly whisk in the melted butter.Add the dry ingredients.
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the wet ingredients and fold until combined.Bake it.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45-55 minutes, checking at the 45 minute mark. The loaf is done when a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for about 30 minutes before removing.Make the glaze and serve!
Make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and citrus juices. Once the loaf is cool, pour the glaze over the top before serving.
