Caramelized Onion & Apple Flatbread
Make use of seasonal produce like sweet onions and autumn apples in this deliciously easy flatbread recipe. Creamy brie cheese, caramelized onions, and granny smith or honey crisp apples are baked on flatbread for just a few minutes.

- 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 14 oz Stonefire Artisan Flatbread
- 2 tbsp Bragg Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- President Brie Cheese, sliced
- 1 granny smith or honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced
- Cooked applewood smoked bacon - optional
- Arugula, to serve
- Gia Russa Balsamic Glaze, to serve
Directions
Caramelize the Onion
Heat a medium skillet on the stovetop over low medium heat. Add the olive oil. When the olive oil is hot, about 2 minutes, add the sliced onion. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to low. Continue cooking the onions on low heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized, about 40 minutes.Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.Bake the Flatbreads
Transfer to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the flatbread has crispy edges and the cheese has just melted.Serve & Enjoy!
Remove the flatbreads from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with arugula and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, if desired.
