Ingredients

Ingredients List:
  • 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 14 oz Stonefire Artisan Flatbread
  • 2 tbsp Bragg Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • President Brie Cheese, sliced
  • 1 granny smith or honeycrisp apple, thinly sliced
  • Cooked applewood smoked bacon – optional
  • Arugula, to serve
  • Gia Russa Balsamic Glaze, to serve

Preparation

  1. Caramelize the Onion Heat a medium skillet on the stovetop over medium-low heat. Add the olive oil. When the oil is hot (approximately 2 minutes), add the sliced onion. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Then reduce the heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and fully caramelized, approximately 40 minutes.
  2. Preheat the Oven Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  3. Bake the Flatbreads Transfer the prepared flatbreads to the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges of the flatbread are crispy and the cheese has just melted.
  4. Serve & Enjoy! Remove the flatbreads from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Top with fresh arugula and, if desired, a drizzle of balsamic glaze before serving.
