Pork Chops with Honey-Garlic Sauce
You’ll enjoy this easy sauce so much, you may want to double up to make extra for your side dishes! We love it as an alternate to gravy for potatoes, and it’s great for drizzling on veggies too.
Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz) pork loin chops, bone-in
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 minced garlic clove
Cooking Instructions:
Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Over medium heat, cook the pork chops for 5 – 6 minutes on each side. Remove when done.
Mix the rest of the ingredients together then add to the pan. Cook the sauce for 3 – 4 minutes. Then top chops with sauce and serve.
Baked Steelhead with Browned Whole-Grain Mustard Crust
Sometimes, quick and easy seafood hits the spot. For many people frozen fish is a go-to for something fast, but we all know the difference in quality and taste between frozen and fresh seafood. You don’t have to sacrifice time for taste with this weeknight dinner idea.
Ingredients:
- 4 pieces Norway Steelhead
- 1 Tbsp minced chives
- 4 Tbsp Tacoma Boys whole grain mustard
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Cooking Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a foil-lined baking sheet, place fish and top with salt and pepper.
Separately, mix olive oil, chives, and mustard. Spread mixture onto fish.
Bake for 6 minutes. Remove then place in boiler and heat for 4 minutes 6 inches away from heat. The mustard crust should be browned.
Ground Turkey Enchilada Stack
For anyone watching their weight, an easy trick to healthy eating is to replace beef with turkey. Any recipe that calls for lean ground beef can be made the same way with ground turkey, which is naturally much leaner. Try alternating every other meal; turkey one night and beef the next.
This easy dinner will satisfy any health-conscious Mexican food lover.
Ingredients:
- 4 (8 inches) whole wheat tortillas
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 2 (8 oz) cans of Tacoma Boys tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp Tacoma Boys garlic powder
- 3 tsp Tacoma Boys dried onion, minced
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup reduced-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
Cooking Instructions:
Cook turkey until all pink is gone. Stir in garlic powder, onion, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
Using a round 2 1/2-quart dish, coat with cooking spray, add one tortilla and 3/4 cup meat mixture. Top with 3 tsp cheese. Repeat the layers three more times.
Cover and microwave for 4-5 minutes on high.
Bruschetta-Topped Chicken and Spaghetti

- 4 (5 oz) boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz whole wheat spaghetti
- 1 cup bruschetta topping
- 1/3 cup Italian shredded cheese blend
- 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Cooking Instructions:
Per the package directions, cook the whole wheat spaghetti and drain.
Sprinkle chicken breasts with pepper. Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and cook chicken for 5 – 6 minutes on each side on medium heat. Make sure all pink is gone.
After chicken is cooked, place in an 8-inch square baking pan. Top chicken with bruschetta and cheese. Broil for 5 – 6 minutes.
