Iced Matcha + Chai Latte

A simple syrup made with chai spices adds just the right amount of flavorful spice to this iced matcha latte!

Earthy green tea matcha is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day vibes on a relaxing morning. Just whip up the syrup and stir it into a classic matcha latte!

Directions

  • Make the Chai Syrup

    In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, sugars, vanilla, and chai spice powder. Bring to a low boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Layer the Drink

    Add a tablespoon or so of the chai syrup to the bottom of a serving glass. Fill the glass with ice. Gently layer ½ cup milk over the syrup.
  • Layer the Drink

    Combine the matcha and remaining ½ cup milk in a milk frother and froth on the cool setting. Gently layer the frothed matcha over the milk and syrup in the serving glass.
  • Stir & Enjoy

    Place a straw in the glass, stir, and enjoy!
